This summer, we’re on a mission to change that.

🌟 Introducing Our Summer Reading Club: Underdogs by Chris Bonnello.

Running from July 21st to August 25th, our brand-new summer book club invites children to dive into an action-packed novel in a fun, supportive online space. Over just two hours a week, your child will rediscover how exciting reading can be — and learn a whole lot along the way!

📖 So, What is Underdogs All About?

Underdogs is a dystopian fiction story that will truly resonate with teenagers. It’s packed with action, suspense, and relatable characters — many of whom come from neurodiverse backgrounds.

This gripping novel follows a group of underdog heroes as they rise up to save a fallen society. It’s not just a thrilling adventure — it’s a powerful celebration of difference, resilience, and the strength that comes from working together. With so many themes relevant to young people today, it’s the perfect story to capture even the most reluctant reader’s attention.

Is your child hesitant to pick up a book? You're not alone — and this club was designed with them in mind.

The whole premise of this club is to tempt a reluctant reader into enjoying the process of reading. There’s no pressure to be on camera and no requirement to read aloud. We simply ask for an hour of focused attention during the sessions to help your child get the most out of their learning this summer. Whether they whisper along, sit back and soak it in, or eventually join the discussion — this is a safe, supportive space where every reader is welcome.

What Will Your Child Gain?

Sessions are small (max 8 students), personal, and designed to engage children of all abilities. They’ll meet twice a week — Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5–6pm via Zoom.
